嗨，蘇珊！
法國作曲家薩提的「唯。一」

為記念法國作曲家艾瑞克・薩提150週年，女高音鄭之璿及鋼琴家陳倩婷用音樂講述薩提和他唯一愛人的蘇珊，那短暫又熱烈的關係。

薩提和蘇珊在巴黎的黑貓歌舞廳邂逅，薩提對蘇珊一見鐘情更於當晚向她求婚。雖然他們的關係只維持了六個月，但對薩提來說這關係卻非常深刻，他親暱地稱蘇珊做"Biqui"－小情人，並不時將情感投放於音樂裡。蘇珊也成為薩提唯一深愛，之後再無別人。

薩提寫了一句只有四小節的音樂《嗨，小情人，嗨！》，送給他的蘇珊。音樂短而突兀，但足以表達薩提對蘇珊熱切又難諸於口的感情。

音樂會選取薩提和普朗克的聲樂及鋼琴作品，包括薩提的「吉諾佩第」鋼琴曲和法國香頌，以及普朗克的「畫家的工作」。音樂描繪兩人關係和生活點滴，及與身邊不同藝術家的互動交流。

歌曲以法文演唱，獨白以英語及廣東話演出。

Satie’s one and only

A tribute to composer Erik Satie’s 150th anniversary, soprano Florence Cheng and pianist Cynthia Chan create a concert that illustrates Satie’s affair with his one and only lover, Suzanne Valadon.

It was at the Chat Noir, the cabaret where Satie took a job as second pianist, he met Suzanne. Within minutes, Satie was besotted with Suzanne. He even proposed marriage to her on their first meeting, tenderly called her his “Biqui”, and composed a four-measured piece entitled “Bonjour Biqui, Bonjour!”. This affair was stormy and brief, ending after six months. Satie’s love for Suzanne is deep and intense:

“…I shall have great difficulty in regaining possession of myself, loving this little person as I have loved her …she was able to take all of me. Time will do what at this moment I cannot do…”

This concert will start with Satie’s “Bonjour Biqui, Bonjour!”, then with Satie's piano works, chanson, and Poulenc's Le Travail du peintre.

Singing in French, dialogues in English and Cantonese.
