The Hong Kong Early Music Festival is the first festival in the city to be organized on a regular basis that is dedicated to accessible historically informed performances and educational programmes featuring repertoire from the Renaissance, Baroque, and early Classical eras.
「香港古樂節」是全城首個以定期舉辦鑑古/復古風格演奏（historically informed performances，簡稱HIP）音樂會及推廣文藝復興、巴羅克及早期古典音樂教育為主的音樂節活動。
The theme of the 1st Hong Kong Early Music Festival is “Baroque Music in Asia”. The week-long festival will contain concerts, workshops and masterclasses presented by Concerto da Camera in partnership with The New Baroque Company (Seoul, Korea), a performing ensemble specializing in early music and multi-disciplinary arts. The collaboration is made possible by an International Exchange Grant from Arts Council Korea (ARKO).
主辦單位雅樂合奏團與新巴羅克樂團（首爾）合作的第一屆香港古樂節2019的主題為「巴羅克音樂在亞洲」，活動包括為期一週的音樂會、工作坊及大師班，由韓國文化藝術委員會（ARKO）資助。
Main Festival Concert will be held at the following beautiful heritage sites:
- The 70-year old St. Stephen’s Chapel in Stanley, Hong Kong on 19th October
音樂會，於兩處歷史悠久及充滿特色的古蹟中舉行：
- 70年歷史的赤柱聖士提反堂（10月19日）
第一屆香港古樂節的精彩節目包括：
- 文藝復興晚期與巴羅克時期重要作曲家Monteverdi、Castello、Fontana、Selma y Salaverde 及Fiorenza 的器樂與聲樂作品
- 於清朝帝王康熙(1662–1722)、雍正(1722–1735)、乾隆(1735–1796)統治當中的36年間，在中國朝廷傳教的意大利作曲家及傳教士Teodorico Pedrini (1671–1746)的作品
- 乾隆(1735–1796)統治時期，生活於中國的法國耶穌會傳教士Joseph-Marie Amiot (1718-1793)收入於其音樂記事本的作品
- 當代音樂作曲家張志先（韓國）及林平朝子博士（美國/日本）

The 1st Hong Kong Early Music Festival Concerts will feature:
- Instrumental and vocal music by important late Renaissance and Baroque composers Monteverdi, Castello, Fontana, Selma y Salaverde and Fiorenza;
- Music by Teodorico Pedrini (1671–1746), an Italian composer and a missionary priest who spent 36 years at the Chinese Imperial Court, serving the Kangxi Emperor (1662–1722), the Yongzheng Emperor (1722–1735), and the Qianlong Emperor (1735–1796);
- Music from the notebook of the French Jesuit missionary Joseph-Marie Amiot (1718-1793), French missionary, who lived in China during the time of the Qianlong Emperor; and,
- Contemporary works for period instruments by celebrated living composers, Jisun Yang (Korea) and Dr. Asako Hirabayashi (US/Japan).
