By You Side not only combine Brannlum's luscious Future Bass influenced synth arrangements with Falling Feathers' signature heartfelt narratives and catchy melodies, the song is also layered with pronounced pop punk guitar riffs clearly influenced by Ong's time spent with his previous pop punk outfit, JJ and The Paperplanes, before making his debut as Falling Feathers.

“We wrote this song from the perspective of a father singing to his child, saying to him that all will be fine and no matter what happens and that “I will be right by your side” till you are ready.

Everyone goes through hardships from time to time and need a shoulder to lean on. The warmth brought to us, simply by knowing that people are here for you while you navigate through tough times, is simply ineffable.
