大學音樂系 - 獎學金資訊

新學年又到，恭喜各位入到心儀學系的同學仔！音樂系的新同學你會怎麼計劃新學年？ 忙著準備宿舍interview之外，當然要留意有什麼獎學金可減輕負擔。作為藝術系的學生必須留意「多元卓越獎學金」及「才藝發展獎學金」。

「多元卓越獎學金」目標對象為在體育、藝術及／或社會服務方面有卓越表現的香港中學文憑考試（中學文憑試）畢業生，他們並須符合大學收生的所有基本要求，及／或個別學院和學系 訂定的任何其他條件。在體育、藝術和音樂方面取得成就的申請人，須提供有關在比賽中所獲獎 項 ╱榮譽的詳情，或有關過去參加的表演╱ 展覽的詳情。我們會根據申請人所取得的名次 ╱榮譽及╱ 或所參加比賽 ╱活動的規模，評估其成就。

「才藝發展獎學金」旨在表揚在非學術領域取得成就或嶄露才華的學生，支持他們進一步發展他們的才能。頒發予每名公帑資助全日制副學位和學士學位或以上程度的本地或非本地學生的獎學金金額定為港幣一萬元。獲頒發獎學金的學生須在以下其中一項才藝取得成就或嶄露才華：

(一)   體育運動和競藝；
(二)   音樂和表演藝術；
(三)   美術、文化和設計；以及
(四)   創新和科技。

Mavis Wong

Co-founder & Assistant Director

BDes, LRSM in Piano Performance (Royal Schools of Music),

Dip ABRSM in Piano Performance (Royal Schools of Music), 

Grade 8 in Music Theory ( Royal Schools of Music)

Mavis Wong Graduated from the Swinburne University of Technology in Australia. She was also awarded the Licentiate of the Royal Schools of Music (LRSM) in Piano Performance. She further studied Piano Performance at Berklee School of Music in the United States. She is honoured to have studied with various great teachers such as Dr Pei Yu Shu and Dave Limina.

Mavis is passionate about her teaching. She was awarded the Best Teacher Award of The Hong Kong (Asia Pacific) Piano Competition 2014 and 2016 and the Gold Award for Hong Kong Children & Youth Piano Contest 2016. She also served as an adjudicator in Hong Kong Interschool Music Competition and Wonderland Music Competition. Her students are frequent prizewinner at different piano Asia Pacific international competition and winner in Composer of the year (Hong Kong Music Schools Festival 2017). 

Currently living in Hong Kong and Singapore, Mavis is the co-founder and assistant director of Duett Academy of Music, in which mission at ensuring a fun, creative learning environment to cultivating the musicianship of all-age students through our curriculum. As a keen promoter of music education, she organised various music workshops such as Music Therapy and Dalcroze Eurhythmics workshop for music learners.

Mavis is currently building a database of Youtube channel for examination pieces and competition pieces that she believes the videos can facilitate future educational purpose.
